सोशल मीडिया वो जगह है जहाँ ज़्यादातर teens रोज़ English इस्तेमाल करते हैं — school से कहीं ज़्यादा। इसका register अपना अलग है: lowercase, no full stops, abbreviations, emoji, brevity। School English कभी नहीं सिखाएगी कि "k." full stop के साथ कैसे पढ़ें, या "left on read" का socially क्या मतलब है। Online English में ही fluency natural लगने लगती है।

ये lessons उसी पर चलते हैं जो तुम already करते हो। Tutor को बताओ तुम्हारा platform क्या है, क्या post करते हो, किस तरह के comments DM में आते हैं। Tutor polite DMs coach करते हैं, passive-aggressive replies पहचानना, कब mute करें vs block करें, और एक comment कैसे लिखें जो उसी तरह land करे जैसा चाहते हो। Screen time पर कोई lecture नहीं — वो topic ही नहीं है।

उनका message देखना, reply न करना। दोस्तों के बीच एक ऐसा signal जो miss नहीं होता।

अचानक बहुत ज़्यादा views आना।

Social-media platform names के पहले "the" नहीं लगाते: "on Instagram", "on TikTok", "on Discord"।

The comment was so mean. / Was lowkey really mean.

"Very" बार-बार बोलना robotic लगता है। Teen-natural intensifiers हैं "so", "really", "lowkey", "kinda" — context के हिसाब से।

नैचुरल

I'm DMing her. / I'm texting her.

"DM" या "text" verb की तरह पूरे "writing a message" को replace कर देता है — short और natural।

सांस्कृतिक बातें

★Online English casual chat में ज़्यादातर punctuation skip करती है। Short reply के अंत में full stop ("ok." vs "ok") अक्सर ठंडा या annoyed लगता है। सब capital letters (ALL CAPS) DMs में चिल्लाना लगता है।
★"Leaving someone on read" English-speaking culture में दोस्तों के बीच एक real social signal है। घंटों read करके reply न करना "I don't want to talk to you right now" सुनाई देता है — भले ही यह intention न हो।

ज़्यादातर major platforms की rules 13+ हैं। Tutor lecture नहीं देंगे, लेकिन अगर तुम छोटे/छोटी हो तो parent को loop में रखना अच्छा idea है — यह real-world बात है, tutor का judgement नहीं।
