Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy explains how you can cancel a transaction or subscription for the Tospeak service and what refund rights you have under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 1981 and its regulations. The service is operated by Vontix Daniel Ltd. (company no. 517337184), 13 HaNarkis Street, Ashdod, 7722930, Israel. Tospeak is an online English-practice service with AI avatar tutors, sold as a paid monthly subscription alongside a free tier. This policy never reduces your statutory rights; if there is any gap, your rights under the law prevail.

14-day cancellation (distance-sale transaction)

Because Tospeak is sold online, your purchase is a distance-sale transaction. You may cancel it within 14 days. As this is a service, the 14 days run from the later of: (a) the day the transaction was made, or (b) the day you received the written disclosure document with the transaction details.

Tospeak does not rely on the "information product" exemption, because it is an interactive, ongoing service. The 14-day cancellation right therefore applies in full.

Cancelling an ongoing subscription within the 14 days, even after it began

You may cancel within those 14 days even if use of the service has already started. In that case you are charged only the proportional amount for the value actually used up to the cancellation, plus the permitted cancellation fee only (as described below).

Cancellation fee

When you cancel under the 14-day right and not because of a defect or breach, we may charge a cancellation fee equal to the lower of: 5% of the transaction price, or ₪100.

If the cancellation is due to a defect, a non-conformity between the service described and the service provided, or a breach of the agreement on our part, no cancellation fee is charged, you receive a full refund of everything you paid, and we bear the cancellation costs.

Refund method and timing

The refund is made via the same payment method used for the transaction, by cancelling the charge, without delay and no later than 7 business days from receipt of the cancellation notice.

Any refund calculation is based on the prices including VAT as required by law (18%), as shown to you at the time of purchase.

Extended 4-month window for eligible groups

A consumer who is a person with a disability, a senior citizen (aged 65 or over), or a new immigrant may cancel a transaction made through a conversation, including by phone, within 4 months from the date of the transaction or from receipt of the disclosure document, whichever is later. We may ask for a document confirming eligibility.

This extended window applies where the purchase was concluded through a phone or voice conversation with us. A purchase completed entirely through the website is not a transaction made through a conversation, and the standard cancellation rights described above apply to it.

Stopping an ongoing subscription going forward (anytime)

In addition to and separately from the 14-day cancellation right, you have a right that is not limited in time to stop your ongoing subscription going forward, at any time and for any reason.

  • The termination takes effect within 3 business days of your notice, or within 6 business days if the notice is sent by registered mail.
  • From the moment the termination takes effect, we stop charging you any further payments.
  • You are charged only the pro-rata amount for the period up to the termination.

  • From your account: in the profile area, by clicking "Manage subscription".

Please include your name and contact details in the notice so we can locate your transaction and handle your request promptly.

Your statutory rights are preserved
